Cinnamon rolls are perhaps the world’s tastiest breakfast pastry, but these gooey breakfast favorites usually score poorly on the nutrition scale. This recipe uses Kelloggs AllBran cereal to convert a sinful treat into a guilt-free breakfast the whole family can enjoy.
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine or butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a medium bowl, combine Kelloggs AllBran cereal and milk, let soak for 6 minutes minimum. While the cereal soaks, compete the next step.
Combine flour, white sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Using a blender, cut in ½ cup cold margarine (or butter) until coarse crumbs form.
Stir milk and Kelloggs AllBran cereal mixture into flour mixture until dough forms into a ball. On a floured surface, knead dough 10-12 times so all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Roll dough into a rectangle approximately 14” x 10”.

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread rolled dough with ½ cup softened margarine (or butter) and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Roll dough into a spiral, starting with the long side. Cut into 12 even slices with a sharp knife. Arrange slices on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
